Lake Lanier up another few feet
It’s middle of March 2009 and lake lanier is just a few inches about 1059 feet. Even though this is the highest lake lanier has been in multiple months, we have a long ways to go!
We really haven’t had the rains we typically see in March. I was hoping for more rain and was hoping lake lanier would be above 1060 ft. I don’t see it rising much more that a few more feet this year. I just hope that we do not see another long drought, rather an above average rainfall for the summer.
With all that said, typically when Lake Lanier falls, home prices fall – when Lake Lanier rises, home prices on Lake Lake rise as well. If you’re thinking of buying a lakehome on Lake Lanier, historically this may be the best time ever to buy. You can count on a few things.
1. Lake Lanier will rise to full pool or at normal levels. When it does, home prices will increase also,
2. Intrest rates are at historic lows, not going much lower. Interest rates will rise.
3. Home prices on Lake Lanier are lower due to the recession.
4. Items 1-3 may never occur at the same time again.
